(CBS) -- Police say a one-year-old child is dead after the girl's mother allegedly left her in a hot car Friday in the parking lot of a Dallas elementary school, CBS Dallas reports.

Vibha Marks, a teacher at the elementary school, was reportedly charged with child abandonment and released Saturday on $50,000 bond.

The girl was reportedly left in her car, which was parked in the faculty parking lot.

A teacher's aid reportedly broke the car's window and attempted CPR after calling 911. The girl later died at the hospital, reports the station.
