Veteran Wingate Signed By N.Y.

Swingman David Wingate, who has played in the NBA for 12 seasons, signed Monday with the New York Knicks.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Wingate spent last season with Seattle, averaging 2.6 points and 1.4 rebounds in 58 games.

He previously played with Philadelphia, San Antonio, Washington and Charlotte. His career averages are 5.8 points and 2.0 rebounds.
