You can get started with LC by signing up for a free account, which requires nothing more than an e-mail address. From there you'll gain instant access to LC's admittedly lovely interface, which makes it a snap to whip together a flow chart, diagram, organizational chart, or just about anything else involving icons, pictures, and lines connecting them.
The only real limitation to a free account is that you can save just one diagram for future editing. But you do get to export and print as many diagrams as you want.
How does Lovely Charts compare with, say, LucidChart and its forebear, Gliffy? I think Lovely Charts wins the sexy-interface competition, but all three tools are great for anyone needing Visio-type diagramming without the Visio price tag. [via Lifehacker]
