"Undercover Boss," "Amazing Race" renewed by CBS

(CBS) CBS has picked up its two Sunday reality series, "The Amazing Race" and "Undercover Boss," for the 2011-2012 season, the network announced Monday.

"The Amazing Race," a seven-time Emmy Award winner for "Outstanding Reality Competition Program," will be renewed for a 19th installment next fall. The current edition, "The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business," features 11 former teams getting a second chance to win the million dollar prize.

"Undercover Boss," which follows top corporate execs working incognito as they experience the front lines of their own firms, received the green light for the third season.

The series premiered last February following the Super Bowl and earned an Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Reality Program."

Some of America's best known companies, including NASCAR, MGM Grand, Subway, DirecTV, Frontier Airlines and Chiquita, were featured on this recent season.
