Tyreek Langs, N.Y. man, sold heroin while holding his 8-month-old daughter, police say
(CBS/AP) CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. - Police on Long Island say a Central Islip man was arrested for selling heroin while carrying his 8-month-old daughter.
Suffolk County Police say officers conducting surveillance spotted 23-year-old Tyreek Langs walking down a street with the baby in his arms and attempting to sell heroin to a buyer.
It happened at about 3 p.m. Thursday in Central Islip.
According to CBS New York, police found heroin on Langs and arrested him immediately on charges of criminal sale of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.
The child was released to her great grandmother and child protective services were notified.
The station reports Langs is due in court on Friday.
