Entertainment Weekly reports Warner Bros., the studio that produces the sitcom, has decided it will not submit the show for consideration in that category. EW reports the studio may have decided instead to focus on Emmy campaigns for individual actors on "Men," including Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones and Holland Taylor.
The 2010-2011 season of "Two and a Half Men" was short. Sixteen episodes of the series were produced instead of the usual 22-24 (19 episodes were produced in season five because of the 2007-2008 writers' strike). Charlie Sheen, who starred on the show with Cryer and Jones, was fired before the season's shooting was completed. Ashton Kutcher has since been cast as Sheen's replacement.
