Twitter abuzz with Casey Anthony posts

(CBS) After the verdict in the Casey Anthony trial was announced on Tuesday, a number of celebrities, like other  Americans,  took to their Twitter accounts to express their opinions.

Here's what some of them had to say after the Florida mom was acquitted on first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter charges in the death of her daughter, Caylee (she was found guilty of four counts of lying to police).

Kim Kardashian tweeted, " WHAT!!!!???!!!! CASEY ANTHONY FOUND NOT GUILTY!!!! I am speechless!!!" (A number of Twitter users replied or retweeted her message, pointing out that her father was part of OJ Simpson's legal team during his infamous murder trial. She responded in another message, saying that it was "nuts" that people don't think she can have her own opinion on the Anthony case.)

Singer-actress Mandy Moore wrote, "I'm from orlando and have been hooked on the trial the last few weeks. the defense team was abysmal! this is shocking! poor, poor caylee."

Ashton Kutcher retweeted a post from William Lang: "OJ Simpson finds this verdict outrageous."

Kutcher's wife, Demi Moore, retweeted a message from Jason Pollack: #StillNoJusticeForCaylee

TV personalty Star Jones, herself a lawyer, tweeted, "I believe in the jury system and accept (the) verdict, but I can't take smiles from Casey Anthony right now. She may be not guilty but her baby is dead!"

Comedienne Kathy Griffin wrote, "Wow. Ok, now this case has my attn. Not guilty? Really? I just assumed..."

"The Office" star Rainn Wilson tweeted, "Dear Florida, THANK YOU for freeing Casey! She's now available for partying and babysitting!"

His co-star Mindy Kaling quipped, "Anyone else hoping Casey Anthony is stupid enough to sue herself for millions in a civil court?"

Actress-comedienne Roseanne Barr sent out several messages about the case, including, "to the members of the jury: you ignored the hair of a corpse in the trunk of casey's car. science is junk in america" and "I think that cable television shows should not comment on murderers until after their trials, becuz the backlash frees the guilty."

Actress Holly Marie Combs wrote, "Outraged. Out. Raged."

Actor Jason Biggs' tweet referenced the OJ Simpson trial: "I guess the glove didn't fit."

Singer-TV personality Aubrey O'Day wrote, "They said she's Not Guilty guys. The jury was her maker & that's the law. I don't know,my heart hurts. I don't feel like justice was served."
