Tsongas, Ogonowski Head To Special General Election

In a closer-than-expected contest, Niki Tsongas edged past Lowell City Councilor Eileen Donoghue by a four point margin to capture the Democratic nomination.  In the Republican primary, Jim Ogonowski cruised past Thomas Tierney to win the GOP nomination.
