Trust in Your Instincts

I have mixed feelings about Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple. On the one hand, I've heard that he bullies people inside meetings and yells at people. That's childish behavior, particularly in somebody who is absurdly wealthy.

On the other hand, he's beyond all doubt one of the most effective sales professionals of all time. He has the ability to make even the silliest gadgets seem like they're earth-shakingly important. Nobody can pitch a product better.

Here he is in 2005, giving a commencement address at Stanford University. It's really quite moving, and it makes you wonder why, given these beliefs, he finds it necessary to act like a big baby when he's dealing with internal business issues.
