Shia LaBeouf plays Sam Witwicky and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley plays Carly Miller in "Transformers: Dark of the Moon." Paramount Pictures

(CBS) This is the week Michael Bay's eagerly awaited "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" opens in theaters nationwide. It highlights a list of entertainment best bets for the coming week

Also known as "Transformers 3," the fillm stars Shia LaBeouf as Sam Witwicky, but has Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley replacing Megan Fox, the female star of the previous two movies.

The action adventure tale, which promises lots of special effects, had its world premiere last week at the Moscow Film Festival but will open simultaneously on June 29 in U.S. and foreign markets.

At home its main competition on the July 4 weekend is "Larry Crowne," the Tom Hanks-Julia Roberts romantic comedy about a laid-off worker who goes back to school.

New out in DVD Tuesday are "Sucker Punch" with Abbie Cornish and Vanessa Hudgens; "Beastly," an updated fairy tale, also with Hudgens; and Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander in "Rizzoli & Isles: The Complete First Season."

On TV this week, you can see the premieres of "Weeds" and "The Big C" on Showtime Monday and the finale of this season's popular Mark Burnett hit, "The Voice" on NBC Tuesday and Wednesday.

"Melissa & Joey" returns for a second season Wednesday on ABC Family and "Royal Pains" makes its third season debut on USA.

Look for new albums to drop on Tuesday from Dolly Parton ("Better Day"), Billy Ray Cyrus ("I'm American"), David Cook ("This Loud Morning"), Limp Bizkit ("Gold Cobra"), and Justin Bieber's gal pal Selena Gomez ("Otherside").

But the big news for music fans is the release of Beyonce's album "4" for Columbia Records. Fans are curious about the new work because early reports say it is unlike anything the pop singer, who headlined the Glastonbury festival in England this weekend, has done in the past.

Also this week, Scribner is set to publish "Untold Story" by Monica Ali on Tuesday. This buzzed-about novel imagines what it would have been like if Princess Diana has not died in Paris in 1997.
