The Big Three aren't the only car businesses struggling to make money. The two top auto-enthusiast sites, CarDomain.com and Streetfire.net, are merging, with the goal of becoming profitable by June. Financial terms were not disclosed, although CarDomain founder Alex Algard told TechFlash that it was an all-stock deal.
CarDomain, which was founded in 1998, hasn't made money since 2004, according to The Seattle Times. The site lets members post profiles of their cars, while Streetfire allows members to upload auto videos. The two companies will be led by Streetfire.net CEO Glenn Rogers.
