Top Clinton fundraisers scheduled to meet with campaign

Hillary Clinton's top bundlers -- fundraisers that gather and collect huge campaign contributions from other donors -- will be gathering in New York City next Thursday to speak with campaign officials.

The Clinton campaign confirmed the New York meeting to CBS News, saying the meeting was not a recent development - it had been scheduled last month. The campaign added that regular gatherings are often scheduled with donors.

The program for the meeting, first reported by Politico, includes dinner with top campaign officials like campaign manager Robby Mook and chairman John Podesta.

The gathering comes just as Hillary Clinton faces increasing hurdles to the Democratic party nomination.

Vice President Joe Biden is seriously considering a third presidential bid and has spent several weeks calling potential donors and supporters, including meeting privately with Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren. President Obama also gave Biden his blessing to mull a White House run.

Clinton's campaign is also confronting continued scrutiny into her private email server. Last week, inspectors found that a few of Clinton's emails, released publicly by the State Department, included some classified information.
