The broadcast will feature special guests throughout the evening - including special appearances by Michelle Williams, of Destiny's Child, and Chicago. The awards show will cut to the activity outside throughout the evening, giving fans in the area a chance to be part of the live show.

This is the second year that the Tonys have been broadcast live in Times Square.

"It was such a thrill to see how many thousands of people came out to celebrate with us last year," Howard Sherman, executive director of the American Theatre Wing, said in a statement. "We invite everyone to come join us on Sunday evening to help us shape and be part of this wonderful tradition."

The Tony Awards will air on June 13 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS. Presenters set to appear during the awards show, which will be hosted by Sean Hayes, include Antonio Banderas, Cate Blanchett, Michael Douglas, Scarlett Johansson, Lucy Liu, Helen Mirren, Chris Noth, Bernadette Peters, David Hyde Pierce and Raquel Welch.
