NEW YORK (CBS) The red carpet was filled with glamorously dressed stars as big Hollywood names made their way to Radio City Music Hall for Sunday's live Tony Awards.

Bright-colored frocks, sparkles and elegant sheath dresses were the predominate trends of the evening, with high fashion marks going to Helen Mirren, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Jada Pinkett-Smith, among others.

Actress Scarlett Johansson bedazzled the Tony's stage as she accepted her Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play award.

The 25-year-old actress, who made her Broadway stage debut in Arthur Miller's "A View From the Bridge," wore a shimmery, dark-green gown by Ellie Sab. Johansson completed her fashionable look by wearing smoky, purple eye makeup and contoured cheeks.

Before the "Glee" star performed "Don't Rain On My Parade," Lea Michele strutted her stuff on the red carpet, wearing a vibrant mustard-colored strapless number by Zac Posen. Her red colored lips were the perfect compliment to the brightly-hued gown.

Naomi Watts earned herself a best-dressed nod while lending support for her nominated partner, Liev Schreiber. The 41-year-old actress looked elegant with her light pink, long-sleeved gown, which was designed by French designer Roland Mouret. Watts paired the structured gown with simple accessories and straight hair.

And as expected, majority of the men opted for sleek tuxedos. Ryan Reynolds, for example, looked handsome with his classic black bow-tie ensemble, while actor, and "Fela!" producer, Will Smith was a little more adventurous and wore a jacquard-style tux.
