(CBS) Miami was transported back to the '80s on Monday when a group of extras were treated to a performance by Tom Cruise during a scene for the movie-musical "Rock of Ages."

Cruise, who plays bad boy Stacee Jaxx in the big-screen adaptation of the Broadway show, stepped out on stage in sunglasses, a black leather vest and sported tattoos on his biceps. He rocked out to Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive" and Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" for a concert scene, according to local reports.

"Rock of Ages" also stars Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Julianne Hough. The film is set to arrive in theaters on June 1, 2012.
