Tom Arnold welcomes a baby boy

Tom Arnold is now a first-time father.

The comedian, 54, has welcomed a son with wife Ashley Groussman, his rep confirmed to People.

Jax Copeland Arnold was born on Saturday, April 6, at 9:53 a.m.

""We are still in a bit of shock," the couple said. "It has been a long journey and the healthy birth of our son is a miracle."

Arnold and Groussman wed in 2009. He announced the pregnancy in January while co-hosting "The View."

"We're really happy. I didn't think it was in the cards for me, I'll be honest, and so I was completely shocked," Arnold said at the time.

According to People, the couple faced infertility problems prior to becoming pregnant.
