TJ Lane, Chardon High School shooting suspect, arrives at Ohio court

A Chardon High School student identified T.J. Lane to CBS News as the suspect in the Ohio school shooting that left one dead and four injured Monday. The Cleveland Plain-Dealer reports that high school junior Nate Mueller, whose ear was reportedly grazed by a bullet, identified Lane as the student who came into the cafeteria around 7:30 am and began shooting.

(CBS/AP) CHARDON, Ohio - A teenager suspected in an Ohio school shooting that killed three students and wounded two others has arrived at juvenile court for an initial appearance.

The suspect in Monday's shooting at Chardon High School east of Cleveland has been identified by a family lawyer as TJ Lane.

Lane arrived at the courthouse in Geauga County on Tuesday afternoon, shortly before his hearing was to begin.

Witnesses say the suspect approached a group of boys in the cafeteria and shot at them before fleeing. He was arrested a short time later.
