Young, 23, had been behind bars since May 10 when he was arrested for the third time that week in just five days.

His first arrest in that troublesome week was on Monday, May 6 when he made an illegal left turn in front of a cop car and got arrested. About 15 hours later, he was taken in again for jumping a fence into a tow yard where his car was taken, in an attempt to steal it back.

The third arrest happened on Friday, May 10, Young was passed out inside his car on a private home's driveway. The homeowner called the authorities but when they arrived he sped off, almost hitting a fire truck. Later on the same day, Young broke into a home through a window and the resident reportedly scared him off with a rifle.

According to USA Today, Young's family initially decided not to bail the former NFL player out of jail, saying he needed to get "anchored" and find help for his mental problems.

Richard Young, Titus Young's father, previously told the Detroit Free Press that his son's erratic behavior stems from a concussion.

"I hope they just forgive Titus because this ain't none of Titus, it wasn't none of his fault," Richard Young told the paper last month. "I look at my son right now, I don't see my son. That's not my son. I know my son. Titus is not the boy I really raised, I'm saying the way he act (sic), the way he intermix in society right now. He shut down, he look through you, it's like he's depressed."

Young has been involved in a series of incidents over the years. The Detroit Lions suspended Young on several occasions for his behavioral issues; they also tried to get him treatment.

Young's bond was reportedly posted by the King Bail Bond Agency. It is unclear where Young is now.

He is due to appear in court June 24 for a pre-trial hearing.
