Three More Web Services You Should Be Using
A few weeks back I spotlighted three Web services I consider essential for modern business. Many of you chimed in with recommendations of your own, which was great.
So, because everyone loves sequels (as opposed to prequels, which invariably bite), I bring you three more indispensable Web services. If you're not using them, you're not taking full advantage of what today's Web has to offer.
Dropbox Not to be confused with Drop.io, one of my original three picks, Dropbox makes it a snap to share files between multiple PCs and devices (including the iPhone). A free account nets you 3GB of storage space, so you can make seriously good use of the service without spending a penny. (Tiered pay accounts provide considerably more space.) Don't really "get" what Dropbox is all about? This video explains it all:
Evernote It doesn't sound like much -- oooh, a service that organizes notes, whoop-de-doo -- but once you start using Evernote, life will never be the same. Instead, it'll be a lot more organized and efficient. And now that Evernote is available for Android, BlackBerry, and iPhone, you can keep all that information-management goodness in your pocket. Plus, it integrates with lots of other productivity-friendly services, like Shoeboxed:
Which Date Works If you've ever tried to plan a meeting, outing, or gathering of any sort for more than a few people, you know the mammoth hassle involved in finding a date and time that works for everybody. Which Date Works makes it easy to get group consensus on meeting dates. And I mean easy: There's no need to register and nothing to install. Just invite the attendees via e-mail, then sit back while everyone picks their preferred date(s) on a simple calendar. Which Date Works just, well, works.
What Web services make your business life easier and more efficient? Have you found better alternatives to the ones listed here? As always, we're looking forward to hearing from you in the comments!
