Police broadcast the suspect's description over the department radio the two officers saw the suspect getting off the train with the iPad in his hand, police reportedly said.

CBS New York reports that when the man saw the officers looking at him, he apparently asked them, "Why are you guys looking at me like I just stole this iPad?"

The officers reportedly gave chase after the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Kevin Chavis.
