"The Raven" premiere goes to the birds

(CBS) John Cusack was accompanied by a real live raven as he walked the red carpet in Los Angeles Monday night for his new movie based on the horror stories of Edgar Allan Poe.

"The Raven," which opens in theaters on Friday, also stars Alice Eve and Luke Evans.

Australian James McTeigue directs the movie in which Cusack plays Poe as he joins forces with a Baltimore detective to keep someone from turning his short stories into reality.

Earlier in the day, Cusack unveiled his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was accompanied by a raven to that ceremony as well.
