Jeff Glor talks to Katherine Govier about "The Printmaker's Daughter."

Jeff Glor: What inspired you to write the book?

Katherine Govier: The real life story of Hokusai's daughter, a great, lost woman artist. I wanted to restore her to history.

JG: What surprised you the most during the writing process?

KG: What holes there are in history, and therefore what scope for someone like me who loves to play detective.

JG: What would you be doing if you weren't a writer?

KG: Dancing the tango.

JG: What are you reading right now?

KG: Stephen Jay Gould's "Wonderful Life." It's about how a fossil find in the Canadian Rockies led to a new interpretation of the beginnings of life.

JG: What's next for you?

KG: A trip to the Galapagos. Some time away from my desk.
