The Perfect Valentine's Day

The Early Show and specialty home furnishings retailer Williams-Sonoma are joining forces to help make your Valentine's Day as romantic as it can be.

They're combining on a three-part series, loaded with suggestions to make your holiday perfect. The segments originate from the Williams-Sonoma flagship store at Columbus Circle in New York City.

They're hosted by The Early Show co-anchor Hannah Storm. She's joined by culinary expert Tori Ritchie, a San Francisco-based food writer, cooking teacher and host of the long-running "Ultimate Kitchens" on the Food Network. Her latest cookbook is "Party Appetizers: Small Bites, Big Flavors" (Chronicle Books, Fall 2004).

On Wednesday, Feb. 9, you got great ideas for breakfast in bed. Ritchie served up recipes for healthy, relatively easy items to prepare for your loved one. Recipes included mango smoothies, ham and egg breakfast tarts, lemon-ricotta pancakes with a beautiful rasberry sauce, and broiled grapefruit.

Thursday, Feb. 10, will feature ideas for confections you can make for your loved one in the kitchen. They'll include chocolate-cherry muffins, Valentine's sugar cookies, heart-shaped Bundt cake, Linzer Torte bars, and chewy Valentine's chip cookies.

And the series will be capped with a segment on Friday, Feb. 11, about the perfect romantic dinner. Recipes will include creamy asparagus soup with scallops, beef tenderloin with bordelaise sauce, and chocolate fondant.

Return here during the week for recipes and more details and to see the video after the series airs.
