"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1": See the first poster

The odds were in "The Hunger Games" fans' favor on Thursday, because the first poster for the next film in the series has been released.

Lionsgate unveiled teaser artwork for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1," showing a mockingjay engulfed in flames -- similar to earlier posters for the first two "Hunger Games" films.

The mockingjay plays a major part in the blockbuster series -- heroine Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) wears a mockingjay pin and the fictional bird becomes a symbol of hope for the citizens of Panem rebelling against the country's totalitarian Capitol.

"Mockingjay - Part 1" will open in theaters on Nov. 21, 2014, with "Part 2" arriving in November 2015.
