The Doggy Bag: Doordogs, swimming lessons, and too-high hedges

(CBS) - You can't get enough of dogs. We know. They're so cute! So funny! They can surprise us with their intelligence. They often amuse us with their, well, lack of intelligence. One thing is for sure: you need your dog vids. And that's why we're here.

Check out some of the videos we found in our doggy bag this morning, including a doggy doorman, a first-time swimmer, and a pooch that was this close to making it over a hedge.

Loyal, dedicated, able to repeat the same task over and over - it's amazing how much dogs and doormen have in common. But it's definitely not surprising that this pooch is so good at his job. Is that door going to close? Not on this doordog's watch.

From a dog that knows how to get it done to a dog that, we'll doesn't so much. This adorable bulldog loves the water, but it doesn't look like the water returns the favor. Aren't all dogs supposed to be able to doggy paddle? It's in the name. Doesn't seem like anyone told this guy, though. Come back to port, dog!

As for the dogs in this clip, well, one of them is very impressive. The other just doesn't quite have the legs to make it over that mean old hedge. But hey, why go over something when you can go through it?
