'The Battle For Everything'

John Ondrasik and Five For Fighting burst onto the music scene with the breakout single "Superman," a moving ballad that many embraced as a post-September 11 anthem.

Recently, the Grammy nominated singer/songwriter and his band released another album, "The Battle for Everything," that has already spawned a hit single, "100 Years," rising rapidly on the music charts.

John Ondrasik and Five For Fighting stopped by The Saturday Early Show'sSecond Cup Café to perform some of their songs.

Ondrasik says he allowed his producer, Bill Bottrell, to push him as a singer and musician on this personal and introspective collection. "The Battle for Everything" was recorded mainly in an old manufacturing warehouse. It features John Ondrasik (vocals, piano, guitar), along with band members Curt Schneider (bass) and Andrew Williams (guitar).

Gregg Wattenberg, producer of Five For Fighting's "America Town," again teamed up with Ondrasik on "The Battle for Everything." Wattenberg recorded two tracks, including the album's first single "100 Years."

John Ondrasik is married with two young children.
