The Apprentice

It's a New Year, and that means a new batch of shows for me to review.

First on my hit list is "The Apprentice: LA." This season is in Los Angeles, and the show has a few new twists that I will reveal them later in the blog.

Here is the new batch of contestants for Donald to rip a new one into,
ladies first:

Muna
Kristine
Marisa
Angela
Jenn
Heidi
Aimee
Nicole
Michelle
Stefani

And now the men:

Darell
Surya
Frank
James
Carey
Tim
Martin
Aaron

The Donald makes the teams work together for the first time by building a tent together. Heidi and Frank emerge as the leaders, and with a minimum amount of drama the task gets accomplished.

This season Ivanka is sitting in to help Donald make all the boardroom decisions; the other seat normally belonging to George is for a surprise guest. Donald makes Heidi and Frank the new project managers and also allows them to pick teams. Here is how the teams stacked up.

Heidi's team:
Derek, Marissa, Jenn, Surya, Aimee, Angela, Kristine, Muna
Frank's team:
Carey, Aaron, Nicole, Mitchell, Tim, Martin, James, Stephanie

After all the teams are split up and introductions are made, it's time to get to the first challenge, and basically it's a good old-fashioned car wash. Whatever team makes the most money wins, plain and simple. Immediately I think I'd have everyone on the street in bikinis and that should sell car washes, especially in L.A. But that's just my idea, and it probably why I went on "Survivor" and not "The Apprentice." Donald releases the first twist of the season before he unleashes the troops. The twist is the winning project manager will always remain the project manager until his or her team loses. No pressure there. Heidi and Frank are the first PMs this season.

The teams do a good job washing cars. But two major differences pop up; it's that Frank's team has little to no signs at all, and when they did eventually catch on signs were needed they were poorly made and could barely be seen. Meanwhile Heidi's team was rocking the flyers and had so many cars they could barely get them done fast enough. I think they had one of the guys topless holding a sign (my idea by the way.)

Heidi's team ends up making $2,463.00 in one hour and wins, kicking Frank's team's butt, so Frank's team is off to sleep in the tents and Heidi's team is off to live in the mansion and have dinner at Spago with Donald, Melania, and Wolfgang Puck.

Twist number two is Frank's team must live in the tents until they win, and twist number three (this one is my fav) is that the winning team's project manager, this being Heidi this time, will fill the other spot with Ivanka in the boardroom to help pick who will be fired, that is big time!

Back in the mansion, Heidi tells her team that her plan in the boardroom is to try and keep the Donald to keep the weaker link so her team remains the strongest. Smart, but I don't think Donald will fall for it. Meanwhile in the tents Martin continues to quote African sayings and refuses to get out of his three-piece suit, I think this guy may be my new favorite.

Boardroom time!!!

The normal grilling happens about why the price point wasn't right and why there was not proper marketing. Eventually the fighting comes down between Martin and PM Frank. They go back and forth with each other and Frank gets on my last nerve, he is so loud and loud, and oh did I say LOUD!!!! Frank brings back Martin and Tim with him into the boardroom for the final verdict on how is getting fired. All the boys come back into the boardroom guns blazing, and it's clear Tim is not going to get fired so the Trumpster just tells him to leave so Martin and Frank go for the jugular. After about 10 minutes of smack talking, which I love Donald decides to fire Martin (who was my fav because he was so different so there goes that.)

And that's the beginning of a new great season, plus I think Ivanka is a great addition to the show — and super smart so she will be spicing things up I know it. I look forward to the rest of the season!
