(CBS) The team finishing fifth out of five in last week's leg of "The Amazing Race" got a reprieve Sunday night but it was a short one. And now the competition is down to the final four. (SPOILER ALERT)

Farmers Bill and Cathi expected to be eliminated at the beginning of Sunday night's episode, which in a new twist, started at the pit stop from the previous week's leg. But they learned from host Phil Keoghan it was a non-elimination leg and the race was still on.

The sixty-somethings, who had been fan favorites, just never managed to catch up and were eliminated at the end of the episode, which kept teams in Belgium where they made rafts and waffles, drove Ford Mustangs on a race course and helped with carrier pigeons.

Snowboarders Andy and Tommy came in first. They each won a customized Mustang. Also in the final four are engaged couple Ernie and Cindy, dating couple Jeremy and Sandy and married couple Amani and Marcus, also known as team NFL because of Marcus' former profession.

The highlight of the episode was the challenge at the Ford Proving Grounds in Lommel, where one member of each team had to race a car at speeds up to 100 mph, navigate a slalom on a tight deadline and complete two victory donuts (tight circles).

The whoops and the looks on the guys' faces as they raced, NASCAR-style, said it all. And Andy was seriously ruing his decision to let Tommy take the wheel, so much so that he prayed for deliverance from the green-eyed monster.
