(CBS/AP) SAN ANTONIO - Andrew Sanchez III, a 60-year-old registered sex offender, was arrested Sunday for allegedly filming girls at a cheerleading competition, CBS affiliate KENS reports.

Investigators said a police officer who was working security for the cheerleading competition at the Alamodome noticed Sanchez shooting video.

Police say the officer questioned Sanchez after observing him zooming in on body parts of some of the young girls, according to the station.

Police said Sanchez has no children attending the competition and that he was there solely for the purpose of his own gratification.

Sanchez was booked into the Bexar County Jail on a $7,500 bond and is charged with improper photography.

Sanchez was convicted in 2008 of possessing child pornography, the station says.
