Terrorism Warning In Korea

After receiving word of a possible terrorist threat, the State Department is warning Americans in South Korea to "review their personal security practices," CBS News State Department Correspondent Charles Wolfson reports.

The announcement says the U.S. embassy and U.S. military installations are taking steps to increase security and emphasizing greater caution for personnel there.

The announcement reads,"The U.S. Government has received unconfirmed information that terrorist actions by a non-Korean group may possibly be taken against Americans, as well as U.S. Government installations and/or personnel in the Republic of Korea."

The State Department regularly updates the security information it provides on each country. Just Wednesday, it warned U.S. citizens to "defer all travel to Tajikistan" because of instability there.

The Pentagon reports 36,890 American troops are in South Korea.
