Tennesee Edges Memphis 68-67
Isiah Victor scored a career-high 26 points, including a dunk with 16 seconds remaining, as Tennessee held on for a 68-67 win over cross-state rival Memphis on Wednesday.
Tennessee (5-2) led 62-48 following a Rashard Lee basket at the 8:28 mark. But Memphis (3-2) rallied to tie the game 64-64 on an Omar Sneed basket with 2:03 remaining.
Tennessee countered with a C.J. Black dunk to regain the lead with 1:25 left, but Dinno Daniels threw up a desperation 3-pointer with one second left on the shot clock to give Memphis a 67-66 lead with 42 seconds to go.

When the Vols regained possession, C.J. Black was doubled-teamed after getting the ball down low. He passed to an open Victor who gave Tennessee the victory. A last second shot by Memphis' Marcus Moody rolled off the rim.
"I was looking for it," Victor said. "I saw my man go over there to double-team. When that happens, there's always somebody open and that somebody was me."
Victor hit 9-of-10 shots from the floor, including 6-of-7 for 18 points in the first half. He also added a team-high eight rebounds.
Memphis native Tony Harris, who suffered from leg and hip cramps throughout the game, finished with 14 points.
Sneed led Memphis with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Moody had 13 and Daniels finished with 11.
"Daniels made a great shot for Memphis," said Tennessee coach Jerry Green. "Brandon Wharton and C.J. Black made good plays to get the ball to Isiah Victor for the winning basket."
