(CBS) Taylor Swift has released the music video to accompany her new folk-inspired ballad "Safe & Sound," which appears on the soundtrack for the film adaptation of "The Hunger Games."

Pictures: Taylor Swift

The video premiered Monday night on MTV. In the clip, Swift is seen wandering around the woods in a long white flowy dress. Her co-writers (and now Grammy winners), the Civil Wars, occasionally appear in the video strumming and singing along.

The song, which was released in December, peaked at No. 30 on the Billboard charts.

"Safe & Sound" is the lead-off song from the movie's soundtrack, which also includes another song from Swift and music from Arcade Fire and the Decemberists. The album drops March 20 and the film is released days later on March 23.
