Taliban Claims Bomb Attack That Killed U.S. Soldier Today

The militant Afghani Taliban movement claimed responsibility for the attack that killed one U.S. soldier and one Afghan civilian outside Kabul Wednesday.

The group's spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid wrote in the statement posted on the group's website that Taliban fighters carried out the attack on the Kabul-Bagram highway in Dahsabz district, using a remote controlled landmine. According to the statement, the landmine destroyed the two U.S. army vehicles and killed 14 U.S. soldiers.
