Tale of the Devoured Disks

Well, I hope you can help, I've got a pretty strange situation here.

What seems to be the trouble?

My computer is eating disks.

Eating disks?

Well, when I put a disk in, it never comes out.

What happens when you push the button to pop the disk out?

There's no button there.

What do you mean?

There's just an opening. That's under this other thing that has a button on it. But the disks fit in the opening much more easily.

And they work there?

No, they just go clunk and disappear.
