Victoria greeted dozens of well-wishers at the National Academy of Science and Engineering in Munich with the words "Guten Morgen" ("Good morning" in German).

The couple visited a street football project and met with Bavaria's governor on Tuesday. They continued to Berlin Thursday for a two-day visit that includes a meeting with German president Christian Wulff, his wife Bettina and other officials at Berlin's Bellevue Palace.

The 33-year-old Victoria, who married her former personal trainer last June in a lavish ceremony attended by 1,200 and watched throughout Europe, is first in line to the Swedish throne. After her education in Sweden, she studied at Yale University and interned at the Swedish Embassy in Washington, D.C., and the United Nations in New York.

The prince and princess represented Sweden last month at the wedding of Britain's Prince William to Kate Middleton. She is a distant cousin of the British royal family.
