Suspect sought in fatal stabbing at Calif. motel

POMONA, Calif. -- Police are searching for a male suspect after a 35-year-old woman was found stabbed to death at a California motel Saturday night, reports CBS LA.

The victim has been identified as Yvette Silva, of Upland, reports the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

Silva was found suffering from stab wounds around 8:40 p.m. at a Motel 6 in Pomona, about 30 miles east of Los Angeles, after officials received an emergency call reporting a disturbance in one of the rooms.

The disturbance involved the woman and her assailant, an unidentified male, reports the paper.

Silva reportedly died at the scene.
