Suspect in deadly Mich. shooting is armed and dangerous, say police
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-- Police in western Michigan say a suspect identified in last week's shooting death of a 31-year-old woman from Holland is considered armed and dangerous, reports CBS affiliate WWMT.
Authorities said 35-year-old Jermaine Arnet Cooper is suspected in the murder of Melissa Moore in Grand Rapids Friday morning, and have warned the members of the public not to approach him.
The station reported that street sweepers in the area called police after witnessing the shooting. Later that night, Grand Rapids Police and a SWAT team surrounded a home trying to locate a suspect in the case. Following a nearly 8-hour standoff, police went in and found nobody inside.
