Supersonic Scare For Madonna
British police guarded pop superstar Madonna when she arrived at London's Heathrow airport Sunday amid reports that a death threat had been made against her.
Six police officers and a police dog were waiting for the singer-actress when she exited a British Airways Concorde flight from New York carrying her daughter Lourdes in her arms.
Air News, a news agency based at the airport, said some 30 fans cheered as Madonna walked through the terminal and was helped into the waiting car.
The British Broadcasting Corp. said British Airways received a threatening call against Madonna when the Concorde arrived.
The police escorted Madonna to a waiting limousine. The 41-year-old singer-actress is due to work on a new album in London.
