"It's just shocking. It's just kind of unreal," Balinda Griffin, who worked with Sunday at the Little Pantry in Tifton, Ga., told CBS affiliate WCTV. "She always had something good to say. She was, she was a really sweet person."

Sunday's body was found May 27 in the woods near Lenox, Ga., south of Tifton, about a month after she was last seen. Her in-laws, Roy and Ruby Evans, have been arrested and charged with her murder and a third man has been charged with concealing her body.

Neighbors of Sunday's in-laws told WCTV they were surprised by Sunday's death but not surprised at the arrest of Roy Evans.

Melissa Weeks says she has witnessed firsthand Roy Evans' aggressive behavior.

"He came down here one night and wound up in a fight out here." Weeks told the station. "And after that he kept coming down and beating on my door."

Sunday's sister, Sunshine, who would only comment though a family spokesperson, sat through a recent press conference fighting back tears.

Grief over the tragic end to Sunday's life has turned to concern for her daughter, Ruby, and the horrible loss of a loving mother.

I couldn't even sleep last night, just thinking about the poor girl just laying there." Rita Block, a neighbor, told WCTV. "And her little girl. She's a mama. It's a baby's mama."

Authorities are now pursuing the theory that custody of little Ruby may have been at the heart of why Sunday was killed.

"Basically Ruby wanted the child, plain and simple," Tift County Sheriff Gary Vowell told reporters.

Investigators have not released the cause of death but are said to be investigating reports from neighbors that Roy Evans was seen burning a couch in his backyard after the investigation into Sunday's disappearance had begun.
