Subway sandwich customer allegedly tries to hit worker with car

SONORA, Calif. - Police are looking for a woman who tried to hit a central California Subway sandwich shop worker with her car, reports CBS Sacramento.

The incident happened Sunday, June 14, in Sonora. Police say a customer confronted an employee and complained she didn't like her sandwich.

The unhappy customer allegedly became angry and threw her sandwich and soda at the employee, according to the station.

Eventually, the woman - and a man who was with her - stormed out of the store and got into their car. CBS Sacramento reported that's when the worker followed them out the door as he phoned the police.

When the unhappy customer noticed the worker on the phone, she allegedly hit the gas and swerved to try to hit him.

Subway released surveillance photos of the sandwich-throwing woman and her male companion in an effort to track them down.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Sonora Police Department at (209) 532-8141.
