Stylish Shoes Can Also Be Comfy!

NEW YORK -- When it comes to fashion, women have it tough, especially when they have to wear uncomfortable shoes for long stretches, just because they look good.

But it doesn't have to be that way!

There's new technology that can keep you stylish and your feet happy at the same time.

On "The Early Show" Monday, Style Contributor Katrina Szish had some samples worn by models of the latest shoes, from high-heels to boots, that can give you a leg up on comfortable footwear that's still high-fashion.

All have built-in memory foam shoe beds and viable comfort technology:

Work Chic

Pumps:

Aerosoles Bectify Flat $60

We all know it's important to look your best at work, but it's also important to feel your best -- especially during a long day of meetings or travel. The good news is, no matter what your office style, there are comfortable shoe options out there for you. OK -- so it's time to dispel a myth -- just because a shoe is flat, that doesn't mean it's comfortable. You should look for arch support and padded insoles -- and, these classic ballet flats from Aerosoles have both, with an equally comfortable price tag of $60.

Splurge: Cole Haan Violet Air Pump $328

This Cole Haan red embossed paisley bow pump not only looks chic -- and work appropriate -- but it is enhanced with Cole Haan's patented Nike Air technology -- yep, their cushioned just like the sneakers -- ensuring comfort all day long. These are a splurge-worthy investment shoe priced at $328.

Steal: Naturalizer Jameson-Black Pump $24

We've chosen a kitten-heel pump from Naturalizer crafted from soft taupe suede with a cushioned insole. The feminine style is not only on-trend -- you might recall the recent kitten heel frenzy in response to "Mad Men" -- but this pair is also a steal at $24.

Night Out

Makowsky Flat $76

A night on the town or a hot date shouldn't leave you with aching feet, and we've found some incredibly stylish solutions. All things metallic are still on the It-list, and I fell in love with these gold ankle-wrap flats from B. Makowsky. They come with arch support and a padded insole, and even better they ring in at $76.

Splurge: Donald J. Pliner Bataia Sandal $315

I call this the Rolls Royce of comfortable shoes. The spring collection is arguably even more fabulous than the fall collection. These luxe architectural Bataia sandals are the ultimate statement shoe -- and a splurge at $315. But don't be fooled by the fashion-forward look -- they're still finished with a padded insole and soft leather.

Corso Como Booties $125

I adore the Pliners, but this is one of the chicest comfortable shoes I found on my search -- the Corso Como black suede studded bootie, for $125 from Zappos. Everything about this shoe works, and the Corso Como label is designed specifically with comfort in mind -- the sole has extra flexibility for walking comfort, the soft leather linings are breathable, and the interiors are padded for comfort. In addition a portion of every sale of Corso Como shoes goes to charity.

Trendy Shoes

Aerosoles Plum Tree Wedge $80

Luxe and trendy can also be very affordable with these Aerosoles black suede wedges, complete with leopard-covered heels. Leopard continues to be a hot trend, and these will take you straight into spring -- with a spring in your step -- for $80.

Splurge: Donald J. Pliner Ceci Pump $195

These beaded platform Ceci pumps (currently on sale for $195) have it all -- a chic silhouette, decadent beading, and a hidden platform -- AND they have a fully-cushioned insole.

Banana Republic Ruffle Sandal $120

You can dance the night away at your next black tie gala or wedding without taking off your shoes! Banana Republic has introduced a line of shoes with breathable insoles and therapeutic memory foam padding that extends to the all-important strappy sandal. These satin ruffle sandals are the perfect neutral shade, and the price is right at $120.

Weekend Casual

Easy Spirit Nerine Boots $60

Winter weather also calls for comfortable shoes that still look chic! I love a wedge boot, and these Easy Spirit faux shearling trimmed boots are an instant classic -- sleek, simple and a great buy for $60.

Splurge: Naya Nefertiti Boots $173

The rugged hiking boot trend is hot this winter, and these Naya lace-up boots are not only designed with comfort technology but they're also eco-friendly. The price on these is $173.

Splurge: DaniBlack Wedge Boots $222

I couldn't resist putting Blair in these special splurge DaniBlack boots from Zappos. They're soft, suede, cozy, warm and walkable but they still give you a little lift. You can wear them over the knee or fold them down for two different looks. This snuggly splurge pair costs $222.
