Stupak: Speaker Pelosi Is "non-committal" On Waxman-Dingell Race

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is "non-committal" with regard to the contest for the chairmanship of the Energy and Commerce Committee, Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) said that he'd been told by aides to Pelosi. Stupak, on a conference call, said that he has yet to speak to Pelosi. 

"I’d be surprised if she got in this race," he said.

Leaving Pelosi's office this evening, Dingell himself, riding in a wheelchair and wearing black sweatpants and a black sweatshirt, spoke briefly to reporters, including Crypter Dan Reilly.

"If anyone wants to ask about John Dingell's job, he has it, he is going to keep it, he is doing well," said Dingell.
