Stuck In Crashed Jeep 42 Hours, Survives

A young Pennsylvania woman who was pinned inside her Jeep for almost two days after a crash was recovering from brain surgery Thursday.

Rose Rice, 22, of Delta, lost control of her car near at the Maryland/Pennsylvania border Sunday on her way home from a Baltimore Ravens football game, according to WBAL-TV in Baltimore.

The car tumbled down a steep embankment, trapping Rice, her mother, Trish Demarest, told the station.

A passerby spotted Rice's Jeep Tuesday at the bottom of the ravine and notified authorities.

Crews were able to rescue Rice, who suffered a broken hand and large laceration in addition to the brain injury. For the most part, however, Rice was lucky and is, doctors say, expected to make a full recovery.
