Strong Passwords: The Best How-To Video I've Ever Seen
Still can't wrap your head around choosing and using strong passwords? This two-minute video offers the smartest, simplest overview of the subject I've seen. Take a look, then meet me after for some follow-up thoughts.
While I agree that the "familiar-phrase" method is a great one, I strongly recommend writing down your selected password(s) until you get the hang of using it. Indeed, for me the challenge would lie in remembering not only the phrase, but also the conventions I used to embellish it.
That's why I tend to keep things a little simpler by opting for two words joined together, with numbers in place of vowels, and a capital letter at the start and end. For example, "MyPassword" would become "MyP455w0rD."
Have you found a password methodology you like better? I'm all ears (in the comments, that is).
