NEW YORK (CBS) Did Stormi Henley deserve to move to the next round of "American Idol"?

That's what people are wondering after the 19-year-old former Miss Teen USA was given a golden ticket to Hollywood by the judges in Nashville, Tenn., on Thursday night.

Henley, 19, sang "Father, Can You Hear Me?" Steven Tyler said she had a "beautiful little tight squeaky" voice and wondered if she'd ever "let loose." She said no.

When it came time to vote, Tyler told her, "I think with a little work you can belt that out, so I'm going to say yes."

Jennifer Lopez disagreed, saying, "I think you're gorgeous, but the voice is not strong enough for me. I'm going to say no."

Randy Jackson became the deciding vote. "It was just okay, I don't know," he said. Henley was then seen waving her golden ticket and celebrating.

The judges were all in agreement for another of Thursday's contestants - 15-year-old Lauren Alaina. (Watch her performance here.)

Alaina, the night's final contestant, sang "Like We Never Loved At All" by Faith Hill and then Aerosmith's "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing," looping Tyler in for a duet.

Tyler called the teen "beyondo cute," while Jackson praised her voice: "You've definitely got a gift. ... You've got real, natural, God-given talent."

Lopez told Alaina that her singing moved her to tears.
