Stop Cell Phone Buzz From Ruining Conference Calls

While we're on the subject of conference calls (see today's post on making them less sucky), have you ever noticed how cell phones can muck up the audio? When placed anywhere near a speakerphone, desk phone, computer speakers, or even a car stereo, they often transmit an annoying staccato hum.

The Buzz Killer stops cell phone buzz. Just lay your phone on this flat, inconspicuous card, and presto: no more hum. This video says it all:

According to the company, the card employs a patent-pending alloy technology that eliminates a cell phone's radio interference -- but doesn't interfere with phone calls or Bluetooth devices or impact battery life. It measures 3.5 by 5.5 inches and is compatible with all phones.

Available from Amazon, the Buzz Killer is available in a variety of colors and sells for $7.49. The company also lets you buy in bulk with custom imprints, meaning you could give these away as promotional items.

If $7.49 seems too high a price, you could always wrap your phone in tinfoil. But then, of course, your phone would be wrapped in tinfoil. I say break out the wallet and grab one of these "killer" cards.
