Steve Buscemi will direct a live stream of a Vampire Weekend concert that will kick off a new season of "Unstaged."

"American Express Unstaged" is an online series that pairs notable directors with popular music acts. Vampire Weekend's April 28 concert at Roseland Ballroom will stream live on VEVO and YouTube.

Vampire Weekend lead singer Ezra Koenig in a statement called Buscemi "a wonderful actor, a NYC legend and a great director." Buscemi has had plenty of experience in the director's chair, including the 1996 film "Trees Lounge" and episodes of "The Sopranos," "Nurse Jackie" and "30 Rock."

Vampire Weekend will release its third album, "Modern Vampires of the City," on May 14. It's the group's first new release since 2010's "Contra." The band has just been tapped to perform at Lollapalooza in Chicago this summer.
