(CBS) If Jimmy Fallon can raise $26,000 by Friday, Stephen Colbert will sing Internet sensation Rebecca Black's infamous tune of the same name.

On Monday, Colbert made a surprise appearance on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" after announcing on "The Colbert Report" that Fallon would be matching his $26,000 donation to DonorsChoose.org. What a great BFFSM (Best Friend For Six Months), right?

There's just one problem: Fallon never actually made that commitment.

"If you can't donate your best friend's money without asking him first, then what's the point of being Best Friends?" Colbert said on Fallon's show, later adding. "I give, and I give, and I give your money to other people. And I get nothing back."

Fallon then turned the tables on Colbert by saying that if he can raise the $26,000 before Friday, Colbert will have to sing Black's viral hit, "Friday," with The Roots.

"And that is a promise that I am making, from him, to you." Fallon said.

We'll have to wait and see what happens on Friday!
