Stephen Colbert Announces Presidential Bid
Stephen Colbert announced his bid for the presidency on his show the "Colbert Report" Tuesday. Amid much pomp and circumstance, Colbert said, "I shall seek the office of the president of the United States."
Stephen Colbert announced he would campaign in his home state of South Carolina, "and South Carolina alone." The host said he would run as both a Democrat and Republican, explaining, "I can lose twice."
He also divulged three possible presidential tickets: Colbert-Huckabee, Colbert-Putin or Colbert-Colbert.
