Stars step out for "Oz the Great and Powerful" premiere

Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz were among the stars who stepped out Wednesday for the world premiere of "Oz the Great and Powerful."

The actresses and co-stars, James Franco and Zac Braff, all posed for pictures on the yellow brick road-themed carpet at the event, held at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.

Williams wore a short-sleeved, embroidered Prada dress with a waist-high slit for the premiere, while Kunis chose a lacy Dolce & Gabbana number paired with Christain Loubouin heels, and Weisz donned a red Victoria Beckham gown and carried a Lanvin clutch. Franco wore a deep burgundy, checked notch lapel two-button Marseille suit with a white dress shirt, navy silk tie and brown leather shoes, all by Gucci.

"Oz the Great and Powerful" takes place before the events of "The Wizard of Oz." Franco plays the wonderful wizard of the title -- a Kansas magician who gets transported to Oz, where he meets the three witches Glinda (Williams), Theodora (Kunis) and Evanora (Weisz).

The film, directed by Sam Raimi, will arrive in theaters on March 8. Watch the trailer below:
